Plannable spots

In short, “Plantable Spots” is about choosing the right tree for the right location for the right reasons and highlighting this through the right type of communication. It is a concept that highlights trees that offer an opportunity to expand the range of ecosystem services in a given location. In this way, it complements an existing tree population based on an understanding of both the population and the area, as well as the specific location to be enriched.

Services

We can help you with all the elements that form the basis of the concept:

1. Goal-Based Species Selection—clarifying
why trees are planted so that they align with a clear goal, such as climate adaptation, biodiversity, and/or tree canopy cover. We know why trees should be planted and can help you with the right arguments and clear goals.

2. site-specific species knowledge - site-specific data collection to get the best possible overview of which species are common and should therefore be avoided. We have good knowledge of which species work in different regions, but also which species should be avoided because they are, for example, disease-ridden, overused or have undesirable growth habits.

3. Site-specific species selection - species selection that takes place outdoors on site to get the best possible information about the site conditions. We help you find the right tree for the right place by providing tailored suggestions for tree species to plant based on site conditions.

4. Presentation – a visual description tofacilitate communication between the client, the contractor, and the public. Our proposals are presented in digital visualizations for each tree, including an explanation of why the tree is suitable and what it can contribute to the site. We help you find the right tree for the right location by providing customized recommendations for tree species to plant based on the site’s conditions. We can also assist with GIS layers, order lists, and contact with nurseries.

5. control - as with any project, some form of control is required. We can help you create the right control instruments for different parts of the project such as planting, irrigation and tying up, increasing the likelihood of the project succeeding and the trees developing into long-lived individuals.
