Tree Care Handbook 2024
Description: This handbook is a revision of the previous handbook Trädvårdshandbok 2017 – pruning and tree care measures on established trees in urban environments in Sweden with the aim of creating an updated best management practice for tree pruning. In this handbook, we go through the Swedish standards on pruning and terminology to account for how these can best be used when ordering and performing various pruning measures. The aim of the handbook is to describe the measures that appear in Swedish Standard SS 990000:2020 Tree Care – Terms and Definitions and Swedish Standard SS 990001:2020 Tree Care – Processes and Methods for Pruning Trees (published in two parts, where part one is aimed at the client and part two at the executor), as well as the pruning measures that there are often misunderstandings or uncertainty about.

Greenwasting
Description: under the name of greenwashing. As more and more organizations want to do good, but unfortunately fall short and waste green resources, we propose a new term: greenwasting. The term refers, for example, to campaigns that allocate resources to plant large amounts of trees, but at the same time allocate too few, or no, resources to take care of the trees that thus risk dying.
