One of the most common reasons for felling trees in urban areas is damage caused by construction. Through good planning, policies and controls, it is often possible to preserve trees, even in very vulnerable situations. In this course, we review the various standards that exist for the protection of trees during construction and how these can be used at different stages. We also go through examples of different protection plans to show how these can be designed in a clear way.
